Exclusive: Zahra Buhari`s wedding postponed not cancelled

The much talked about wedding between Zahra Buhari, daughter of President Muhammadu Buhari and Ahmed Indimi, son of billionaire, Mohammed Indimi has been delayed, DB2PMedia reports. According to the newspaper, the decision was informed by a physical altercation that ensued between a security official at the Presidential villa and one of the groom’s sisters, Yataka Indimi during the delivery of several stacked dowry boxes valued at N44 million to the first family on November 18. According to a source, the Indimi sister insisted on taking her phone into the villa to record proceedings which is against protocol. It was reported that a struggle ensued between Yataka and security officials who tried to compel to follow protocol, drawing the attention of dignitaries. It was learnt that the wife of the Nasarawa governor, Mrs. Tanko Almakura who tried to stop the scuffle may have been injured. It was gathered that the conduct of the Indimis angered the President who threatened to return the boxes and cancel the wedding. “As of today, we learnt that the Nasarawa first lady is still nursing her wounds and is being treated for a dislocation,” the source said. “We learnt that the president who was displeased with the development and behaviour exhibited by the Indimi family, vowed to return the boxes and not approve of the marriage.
