Zuckerberg promises end to identity cloning on Facebook

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg, has promised to fix the problem of cloning of peoples' identities on the social media platform. According to Abike Dabiri, senior special assistant to the president on foreign relations and diaspora, the tech guru made the promise in Abuja on Friday. Zuckerberg was in Abuja to meet President Muhammadu Buhari, and to also attend the grand finale of Aso Villa Demo Day, a programme to encourage young entrepreneurs. However, Dabiri, who also attended the programme, said when she met the billionaire businessman, she complained to him that there were 11 Facebook accounts opened in her name, and he assured her that the issue would be looked into. The presidential aide revealed this in series of tweets. Dabiri said she also urged the Facebook co-founder to spread the word that Nigerians are hardworking, brilliant, determined and energetic people.
